Sam Paper 13

I don't think I need to remind you of this, but I have to start this text with something... "so as not to bore you too much", let's get straight to the point. The most important information from me this month is the beginning of the connection of SAM aircraft in the EARN network. I have already made several connections with people from the ESI group (MAT), who People are also interested in integrating people who are in any way connected with the SAM world.  The network will enable immediate exchange of information for people not only from Poland.

I wrote a program for IBM that enables reading and writing of disks in the SAM format. Thanks to this, we will be able to exchange not only messages, but also pure software (the program is available via the EARN network - to receive it, you need to contact me and I will send it). By the way, this program can also be used for other purposes - e.g. for archiving backup copies.  When I had a problem with disks.  I had about 80 disks with backup copies of programs. Now I'm transferring them to IBM, compressing them and burning two disks to one (the average compression of a SAM disk using ARJ v.2.30 is 42%).

I plan on saving over 40 drives and that means something. Back to the web. You can catch me on Mondays from 1415 to 1500, Thursdays from 1320 to 1600. These are my permanent "duties".  Besides, I am sometimes at the terminal during various breaks between lectures, etc. If you don't catch me directly, leave me a letter (MAIL command) and as soon as I am at the terminal, I will read it to you ‡l‰ answer. Aha, I can already see how angry you all are. Well, I'm very sorry for the delay in publishing this issue, but unfortunately I couldn't make it earlier because my OWN made me a Christmas present and ended up on the website.  It wasn't a very pleasant thing, especially since I was preparing issue 13 for release (in December). Unfortunately, it all went wrong and only now are you receiving your letter (actually at the station).

Unfortunately, I have to increase the price of the disks on which I record Wammagazyn. Their price is now not PLN 10,000 but PLN 15,000. This is due to the constantly rising prices on the stock exchange and now we have to pay at least PLN 12.00 for them.

So much for troubles and problems.  Let's move on to more interesting things. Well, it's already 1993. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you as many programs as possible in your collections and the best possible results when working with your computer. As for the next issue of SAM Paper, I think it will be released around mid-February.  I promise there won't be any slips this time.
