Trivia
And so a month of hard work has passed. I have submitted another issue of SAMPAPER. However, a month is very little if you are writing duels like this. I wonder if he won't add one more person to the editorial team. We'll see soon.
Letters are coming from you. Unfortunately, you don't write whether you want them published. If you have any problems, don't be fooled. The magazine is there to solve them.
In this issue I started a new series - computer system variables. It should have about three (four) episodes. I am also planning a series devoted to explaining some of SAM's complicated BASIC commands, including: MEM$, GRAB etc.
Unfortunately, the promised MESSENGER test is not included in this issue. It probably won't be in the next issue either. Excuse me. It's my fault, but unfortunately I don't have a splitter for the ZX Spectrum bus yet (MESSENGER is non-throughput), which means I can't check whether it works with the FDD 30 disk drive.
I recommend reading the sections WHAT DO WE HAVE? in which I described the PIPEMANIA program and provided a short list of programs for SAM, and NEWS, where I provided detailed information about the English magazine SAM SUPPLEMENT. This issue also contains several interesting programs, of which the SCRATCH text editor deserves special attention, adapted by me to Polish letter standards.
This editor has a rich tradition. Its first version was a completely unique on-screen editor, but now the program is starting to look professional. ) Maybe Polish readers will take up the idea of improving this program and create a fully professional version of it?
And what month? Christmas and New Year are approaching. I will try to make sure your hopes are disappointed again.
It will certainly contain another part of system variables, as well as descriptions of SAM games, as well as another portion of screenshots from the SCREEN PACK. What else ? It's a suprise.
Don't forget that the next issue is coming out on December 3, 1991.
