Trivia
You have in your hand (in front of your eyes) the 9th issue of SAM Paper. I hope you will like it as usual (!!!). In this issue, start with a description of MasterBasic. If you don't have this system yet (discussions about the name can be found in this article), you are missing out. I said start because the description of MasterBasic would take several more issues of the SAM paper. You can also find here the long-promised description of SC_Filer, a quite good database.
In the next issues, they plan to add an addition to the series about rooms, including descriptions of finding rooms for several SAM games. If not in issue 10, then certainly in issue 11 there will be a comparison of several compression programs and algorithms. The point is that CSFR created a fantastic compressor (ASTRO - 11563, KING - 7621). Its author is Stanisław Figlar (FIDZI) and the program is even better than my Huffmann single compression trees, to mention David Gommeren's Cruncher. That's it, bye.
MARS.
Hi! I don't really have anything to say this month. I can only suggest purchasing a disk storage facility from Pomerania (detailed information in the SAM Magic catalog).
If anyone forgets my address, please provide it below: <Redacted>
All information about SAM, its programs, gossip from England, etc., can be obtained at this telephone number and at this address.
Now information for all those who would like to publish their programs: If you have written a good game or utility program, or you intend to do so, please contact me. I will help you publish your program in England and ensure its sale in Poland (and the money is good).
Anyone can become a programmer. You just need to want it. I think that our magazine will help you achieve this goal.
