This is a quick demo of a full-screen 50Hz scroll with content selected to demonstrate that it need not necessarily be tailored to the approach.
The current footprint for tiles plus code plus runtime buffers is 384kb.
Although no sprites appear, work is expended in this version of the code on tracking and erasing any that may have appeared as I hope to add them shortly and simply.
Again, to emphasise: this is not a demo effect, and is not highly-tuned to its content. The map itself at almost 23 screens long occupies 5475 bytes of pure data. Compiled tiles occupy a further 128kb and nearly everything else is runtime buffers. Doubling the size of the map would cost: an additional 5475 bytes.
No hand effort was expended on map or tile conversion; it was all auto-converted.
