A short demo showing 50Hz full-screen scrolling of content that was unambiguously not custom-designed for that purpose. At least, not for the SAM Coupé.
This is a quick demo of a full-screen 50Hz scroll with content selected to demonstrate that it need not necessarily be tailored to the approach.
The current footprint for tiles plus code plus runtime buffers is 384kb.
Again, to emphasise: this is not a demo effect, and is not highly-tuned to its content. The initial map was almost 23 screens long and occupied 5475 bytes of pure data. Compiled tiles occupy a further 128kb and nearly everything else is runtime buffers. Doubling the size of the map would cost: an additional 5475 bytes.
No hand effort was expended on map or tile conversion; it was all auto-converted.
