Variants

Version Source Details
ROM 3.0 MGT There are 2 versions of MGT ROM 3.0 in the wild: The original had ‘plc’ in lower case on the Splash screen, another one had ‘PLC’ in uppercase.
ROM 3.0 SamCo Identical to version 3.0 but with Sam Computers Ltd 1991 on splash screen. Dumped by Robert Morrison.
ROM 3.1 MGT Identical to version 3.0 except for a single byte at 0x0F for version number (31/0x1F rather than 30/0x1E) and has ‘PLC’ rather than ‘plc’ but that (and the version number) is the only difference. Hosted by Davide Barlotti https://speccy4ever.speccy.org/_MG.htm

This sound like a good cause. So:

I hereby allow all my SAM Coupé titles (including ROMs) and associated manuals to be freely (re)distributed.

Tips

The current ROM version can be ascertained by typing PRINT PEEK 15 and dividing by 10 so 30 is ROM 3.0.
