The game of XENTRYX is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Five of the cards are dealt out and the idea of the game is to make the best hand you can.
You are allowed to HOLD cards and re-deal the remainder up to the number of deals you have selected to play the game with. Cards are held by clicking on them. If you change your mind clicking again will restore the card.
The hands you must make are listed at the bottom of the screen, and each one gives you a score, but you can only use one category once. If you are stuck, you can place the hand into any section, but if the cards don’t match the selected section, you score zero.
Before you make your first deal at the start of a new game, you can select HARD, MEDIUM or EASY game, as well as how many deals you want. You can also select different card backs. The scoring is based on the total score of the cards, but there is a NEEDED column.
Any score made in the TEN-ACES section will be added to your total and taken from the NEEDED total. At the end of the game, anything left in the NEEDED section is taken away from your score. The score is also amended according to which skill level, and how many deals you selected.
